“Inspiration promotes elevation.” Cory Townes looks to bring forth a different perspective of popular culture through using innovative methods.

Townes’ personable demeanor and commanding public speaking ability entertains audiences on stage as an event host, as well as in on-camera interviews.  He has hosted several concerts, including the Philadelphia and New York stops of the Sneaker Pimps international tour, which featured Kendrick Lamar, Stalley and Waka Flocka.  As a digital content curator, Townes has had the pleasure of sitting and interviewing some of the key influencers of today’s culture, including the likes Big Sean, Diplo, KAWS and many more. His love for music resonates in all of his projects, which have been featured on the top digital spaces in the industry. Notably, his work earned him a profile in’s “Spotlight” feature, which showcased his ventures in marketing and tourism in the Philadelphia region.

From 2005 to 2012, Townes served as co-founder and C.O.O. for the clothing line and lifestyle brand Babylon Cartel, which quickly took root in the minds (and closets) of fashion savvy young adults with a penchant for Hip-Hop’s counter culture. As a former merchandising intern for Philadelphia-area sneaker boutique Sneaker Villa, Townes cultivated his talents as a brand strategist, helping to build the brand architecture for a new concept store to be called “V.”, with later collaborations with brands such as Vitamin Water, Red Bull, Heineken, and Live Nation.

In the spring of 2011, Townes served as Social Media Ambassador for the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, covering the month-long arts and culture event hosted at Philadelphia’s prestigious Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Townes’ reporting proved essential to engage participation from younger Philadelphia audiences.

Townes is a graduate of Northeast High School of Philadelphia. He studied Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, where he also became a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
